U-M Hadley Family Recreation & Well-Being Center

The Hadley Family Recreation & Well-being Center is a transformative facility that supports health, wellness, and social connection at the heart of campus life. Our structural engineering team partnered with the architects to create large, flexible spaces that adapt to recreation, fitness, and wellness needs while maintaining openness and flow. Long-span framing systems and carefully integrated supports allowed for expansive areas that encourage collaboration, inclusivity, and engagement.

To complement the building’s emphasis on natural light and transparency, we engineered structural solutions that accommodate extensive glazing and open sightlines without compromising performance or durability. The result is a resilient and inspiring environment where structural design supports both function and architectural vision, helping the university foster a healthier, more connected student experience
